Two years ago, my family experienced a heartbreaking loss when my mother-in-law passed away. Not long before that my father-in-law also lost a long-term client who lived with them and was truly considered part of our family. These two losses not only left emotional scars but also caused my father-in-law to lose a significant portion of his income. As a result, he fell behind on the mortgage, and our family faced mounting financial stress.

Wanting to help, my husband and I moved in with my father-in-law last November, just before Thanksgiving. We hoped that by combining our resources, we could help him keep up with the bills and get back on track. In the meantime, we put our own home up for sale, but it still hasn't sold. Now, we're struggling to pay two mortgages and utilities for both homes. Despite our best efforts and both of us working, our income just isn't enough to cover everything, and we're running out of money. The fear of losing both homes is becoming very real for us.
