Hi, my name is Justin. I’m starting this fundraiser to help my family through a crisis that’s happening right now.

My father is currently in hospice care in Munster, Indiana. The home he grew up in, raised a family in and the same home his father left him — is in his name only. There’s no will, no trust, and no legal protection in place. My mother and brother both live there, but they aren’t on the title.

Without legal help, the house could be lost when he passes.

We’ve spoken to social workers and were told we’ll need a probate attorney just to have a chance at saving it.

I’m trying to raise funds to:

Cover a probate lawyer retainer

Pay for deed transfers, court costs, or estate filings

Keep my family from being displaced or losing everything

If we’re blessed enough to raise more than the initial legal goal, any remaining funds will go toward essential living expenses — like property taxes, utilities, and basic household bills — now that my father’s income is gone.

My mother and brother are doing their best, but they’ve lost a partner, a parent, and the steady financial support they had.
