Hi, my name is Joaquín, and I’m raising funds to help save my dad’s life.

After bravely undergoing surgery to remove a tumor in his esophagus, my father was slowly beginning to recover. But just months later, we received the devastating news: the cancer had returned, and it had spread.

Now, my dad is in a critical battle against a highly aggressive form of cancer. Doctors have started him on an intense chemotherapy regimen, and we’ve recently received a ray of hope, he tested positive for PD-L1, meaning he is eligible for immunotherapy, a treatment that could dramatically improve his survival and quality of life.

But here’s the heartbreaking part: our insurance does not cover immunotherapy. Each session costs around $8,000, and he needs at least 6 sessions to begin with, potentially followed by 6 more. In total, we need to raise $65,000.

We are a Peruvian family doing everything we can to fight for him, emotionally, physically, and now financially. He is the heart of our home, a loving father, a fighter, and our greatest inspiration. He deserves a chance.

Ayúdanos a Salvar a Nuestro Papá — Urgente Tratamiento contra el Cáncer

Hola, mi nombre es Joaquín y estoy recaudando fondos para salvar la vida de mi papá.

Después de una operación difícil para remover un tumor en el esófago, mi papá comenzaba a recuperarse poco a poco. Pero a los pocos meses, recibimos la noticia más dura: el cáncer había regresado, y se había expandido.

Hoy, mi papá está luchando contra un cáncer muy agresivo. Ya ha iniciado quimioterapias fuertes, pero la única esperanza real a largo plazo es la inmunoterapia, un tratamiento que puede extender su vida y mejorar su calidad significativamente. Afortunadamente, ha dado positivo para PD-L1, lo que lo hace candidato ideal.

Pero aquí viene el problema: el seguro no cubre este tratamiento, y cada dosis cuesta aproximadamente 30,000 soles (unos 8,000 dólares). Para comenzar necesita al menos 6 sesiones, y posiblemente 6 más. En total, necesitamos $65,000 dólares.

Somos una familia peruana luchando con todo lo que tenemos emocionalmente, físicamente y ahora económicamente. Mi papá es el corazón de nuestra casa, un padre amoroso, un luchador, y nuestra inspiración. Se merece una oportunidad.
