Help Us Save Our Church:URGENT Appeal to Keep Our Doors Open
Donation protected
Dear Believers, Friends, and Supporters,
We come to you in our time of greatest need.
On April 3, 2025, Citadel Cathedral Inc., our beloved church of 28 years, was sold at auction to the highest bidder. This house of worship has been more than just a building—it has been a beacon of faith, love, and hope. A spiritual home for many. A safe haven. A place of healing, joy, and community. Now, we are asking for your help to save it.
What Happened
Despite our unwavering commitment to serve, support, and uplift, the church was foreclosed and sold due to financial challenges that stemmed from years of hardship—particularly the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Friday, April 4th began the countdown of the 7-day window we have to reverse the sale. To complete this task, we must raise the full amount for which the building was sold. We need your help to reach our goal of $1,200,000.
Why This Matters
Over nearly three decades, Citadel Cathedral has stood as a pillar in our community:
• Hosting outreach programs and food drives
• Offering prayer, counseling, and emotional support
• Celebrating life’s sacred moments—baptisms, weddings, memorials
• Providing a spiritual home for thousands over the years
We have invested countless hours, energy, and prayers into building this church and its legacy. We cannot allow that legacy to be erased by a system that showed no mercy, even when we fought to find solutions.
Our Ongoing Struggles
Like many churches, we suffered greatly during the pandemic. Attendance dropped. Donations declined. And tragically, we lost many of our most dedicated members. While we’ve begun to rebuild, finding financial partners who truly understand our mission has been nearly impossible. Even more painful is that the mortgage holder—a religious institution—chose foreclosure over compassion, despite our repeated efforts to negotiate.
How You Can Help
We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.
• Give: Every dollar helps. No gift is too small.
• Share: Spread the word on social media, with friends, family, and your community.
• Pray: Please keep us in your prayers. We are believing for a miracle—and we know that God is able.
Final Words from Our Hearts
We know this is a huge ask—but we believe in miracles, and we believe in the power of community. With your help, we can preserve the place that has meant so much to so many, and continue our mission of faith, service, and love.
Your support means everything as we continue to fight to Keep Our Canaan!
With gratitude and hope,
The Citadel Cathedral Family
