We never imagined we’d be in a position where we’d have to ask for help, but our family is facing an emergency, and we’re hoping for the kindness and compassion of others. For all the cat Moms and Dads to lend us a hand. Very recently, in the early morning hours, my brother and I came home to find our beloved cat lying in our front yard. He looked up at us, let out a heartbreaking meow, and began dragging himself toward us using only his front legs. We rushed to him and were devastated to see that both of his back legs were bleeding, severely injured, and bent in unnatural positions. We immediately took him to the emergency veterinarian, where we were told both legs were likely broken. After being referred for X-rays, we received even worse news: one leg was completely broken, and the other was dislocated. The veterinarian explained that the best chance to save his leg would require surgery with a metal plate, costing approximately $5,000. If that isn’t possible, the alternative is amputating the leg, which would still cost around $3,000. This happened so suddenly, and the cost of emergency veterinary care is far beyond what we can afford on our own.

We’re doing everything we can to give him the treatment he needs and the chance to live a happy, pain-free life. He’s just a baby boy being a year and 2 months old :( If you’re able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it will go directly toward his surgery, medical care, pain management, and recovery.
