Help us support our baby Teddy

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

This is Ella, Teddy’s mother, speaking on behalf of myself and Rhys, Teddy’s father. I’m reaching out with a mother’s heartache that I never thought I would experience.

Our little Teddy, just 11 months old, is in the hospital again, fighting a battle that no child should ever have to face. Our sweet Teddy has been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, a condition that causes his blood sugar to drop to dangerously low levels, leaving his body without the energy it needs to function. Managing hypoglycemia in an infant is incredibly challenging, and despite the doctors’ best efforts, his levels remain critical. This has left him unresponsive most of the time, with only brief moments of alertness. Each day is a struggle as Teddy bravely fights against this relentless condition. His blood sugar levels remain severely low, and simply won’t rise, no matter what the doctors try. Teddy refuses almost all food and liquids, and most of the time, he is unresponsive, sleeping deeply as his body struggles. Occasionally, after a glucose surge, he wakes up just long enough to move for a few minutes, but then he slips back into that quiet, deep sleep.

Today, Teddy’s doctors have to take more intensive measures. He’s having blood drawn every 30 minutes, and they’re now looking at hooking him up to machines to help his little body function. Watching him go through this, so small and fragile, is more than we can bear, but we’re holding on to every shred of hope for our beautiful boy.

This journey has been emotionally and financially overwhelming. The hospital stays, the specialized care, and the time Rhys and I need to be by Teddy’s side have added up, and we’re reaching out for help. Any support—whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing our story—would mean the world to us.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we are doing everything possible to give Teddy a fighting chance. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for any kindness you can offer.
