Help Us Save Our Accessible Home
Donation protected
** On behalf of Cody Craig**
Hi, my name is Cody and I'm the full time caregiver for my 16 year old brother Cayson.
Cayson's dad passed away from a heart attack 4 years ago and our mom (50) unexpectedly passed away May 22 2025. This left Cayson without a parent to care for him.
Cayson lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a progressive and life-limiting muscle wasting disease. A condition that slowly takes away physical strength and because of it, Cayson relies entirely on his wheelchair, medical equipment and around-the-clock care to live safely and comfortably.
I had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life- I had to quit my full time job and move in. Cayson's needs have become too complex to leave in someone else's hands. While I have no regrets about stepping up for him, the financial reality has caught up to us.
Our home has been specifically modified to support Cayson's needs. It has widened doorways for his wheelchair, a roll-in shower and accessible features that let him move through the space with dignity and independence. But now we 're at risk of not only losing a roof over our head but the very infrastructure that keeps my brother safe, independent and accessible for his needs.
We're trying to avoid facing foreclosure and urgently need to raise $100,000 to save our home! This money will help us pay off the mortgage and keep our home. Without it, we'll lose not just our house but the accessibility and safety Cayson depends on every single day.
If you're able to give-whether it's $5 or $50 PLEASE know you're making a direct impact on our lives. Every donation brings us one step closer to security, safety and peace of mind.
Can't donate? No problem- sharing this page with your friends, community and social networks is just as powerful. The more people hear about our story, the greater chance we have of keeping our home.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
Thank you for reading this, for sharing, for donating- and for giving Cayson the chance to keep the only place that truly meets his needs.
With gratitude,
Cody and Cayson
