My name is Efren, and recently my partner and I took in four newborn rescue kittens — two twin girls and two boys. They were just a few days old when they were found, abandoned by their mother and forced to be relocated due to nearby construction. No one else had space for them, but we couldn’t turn them away. They instantly stole our hearts, and it has been a privilege to raise them.

One of those babies is Mittens, our gentle little princess. She’s always the first to follow me around the house, always playing with her twin sister, and often curling up on my chest and rolling around to get my attention. She has the sweetest, most playful spirit.

Unfortunately, on the night of August 15th, our world turned upside down. Around 10 p.m., Mittens suffered a serious accident that caused trauma to her head and lung area. We rushed her to the nearest 24-hour veterinary hospital, where the amazing team is doing everything they can to stabilize and treat her.

We are asking for help to cover her hospital bills and any treatments she may need to give her the best chance at recovery. Mittens is only 5 weeks old and has so much life ahead of her. She deserves the chance to grow up with her siblings and continue bringing joy to our home.
