Help Us Save Our 100-year-old Barn!

Donation protected
This old barn has seen things. Built over a century ago, it has survived brutal winters, generations of farmers and now an enthusiastic menagerie of rescued animals who believe it is a luxury resort. Unfortunately, the barn is finally showing its age. Roof panels are tired, beams are sagging, boards are rotting and falling off in the high winds and the 'rustic charm' is quickly becoming a 'structural concern'.

Our animals don't care that the barn is 100+ years old. They just want:
  • a dry place to sleep
  • walls that don't moan ominously in the wind
  • a roof that doesn't drop on their heads like a surprise shower

We want that for them too. The barn is the heart of our sanctuary. It shelters animals who've already had enough instability in their lives and they deserve safety, warmth and dignity, not a game of Will This Beam Hold.

Your support will go directly towards:
  • repairing and reinforcing the structure
  • replacing damaged roofing
  • making the barn safe for the next 100 years
(or at least until the goats reinvent interior decorating)

If you've ever loved and animal, laughed at a video of a goat, sheep or pig doing something ridiculously adorable, or believed that old things (especially barns) are worth saving, we'd be incredibly grateful for your help.

Please donate if you can. Share if you can't. And know that every contribution keeps hay dry, hooves warm and one very old barn standing strong for the animals who call it home.

Thank you from all of us at PLAS – two- and four-legged.
