I do a lot because I love a lot but one thing I have always loved and dreamed of is having my own farm. I have helped family and friends with their farms, built goat houses, chicken coops, put up fence...you name it I have done it but never for myself.
That dream finally came true and we are renting an 8 acre farm less than 10 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. It is perfect for us. Close to everyone and everything.
In the last two months we have added 25 chickens, 4 ducks, 6 Nigerian Dwarf goats, a mini pig, 4 cats, 2 pugs, a German Shepherd and we got a Great Pyrenees puppy from a farm in West Virginia to help us protect the farm and animals. The plan was to eventually help farm animals in need and give them a safe and happy place to live out their lives.
Then we found out that our landlords are selling the farm, which was totally unexpected for them and us.
We are being given the chance to buy it but with only a very short amount of time to figure that out and we have put a lot of time, love and money into the farm already.
This is my dream and passion and I want to share it with everyone. This farm isn't just for us. It is for all of you as well. In the last couple of months there has been a lot of sadness in our lives. We lost one of our best friends in a tragic accident which completely devastated us. Then we found out about this. My animals really helped me through that and still do every day. We want to share that love and healing with as many people as we can.
We want to offer goat yoga, farm visits, rescue for unwanted farm animals, bbq's, parties and much more! If all you want is to come cuddle some animals then come on over!
To me there is no work more worth doing than having this farm and sharing it with all of you.
We love you all are so grateful for anything you can give to help us save the farm so we can see our dreams come true to make it a safe refuge for people and animals alike.
