Help Cover Odin's Emergency Care

Odin wasn't with us long, but he didn't need long to steal every heart at the barn.

You noticed Odin the moment you walk in. His sheer size commanded attention — but it's what happened next that stays with you. This gentle giant would come to say hello with a calming presence. In just a short time, Odin became an absolute barn favorite, and it's easy to understand why. There is something about his calm, quiet presence that made everyone around him feel safe.

That presence is exactly what made him such a gifted therapy horse. Odin has a rare ability to connect — with kids, with people who are struggling, with anyone who needs a moment of peace. He was still new here, but he already made himself irreplaceable.

Odin was rushed to Furlong's Emergency Hospital with a severe case of colic — a painful and life-threatening condition that requires around-the-clock emergency veterinary care. His treatment cost about $3,000 each day. We did everything we could to save him. Unfortunately he could not pull through and had to be euthanized Monday afternoon.
