Meet Nova - a beautiful Pitbull who has been at The ARK Rescue in Namibia for almost two years. She’s a happy, affectionate and loyal companion who, despite her loving nature, has faced challenge after challenge simply because of her breed and her fear of other animals.

Nova’s situation is heartbreaking. She has her own enclosure, but the constant noise and stress of the rescue environment are taking a serious toll. Every day, she paces anxiously, running back and forth along the side of her kennel. Known as kennel stress. Since coming to The ARK, Nova has lost a significant amount of body weight—not from illness, but from the constant stress and movement.

Recently, The ARK and their vets have had to seriously consider euthanasia as an option due to these ongoing issues, among other factors, mainly that no one suitable wants to adopt her. This is an incredibly difficult decision for The ARK, as they do everything in their power to avoid euthanasia unless it is absolutely necessary. But the current circumstances are becoming more and more distressing for Nova, and without change, we fear her suffering will continue.

However, there is still hope. With your help, we can build Nova a safe, peaceful and spacious enclosure—far away from the chaos—where she can finally feel calm and secure. A new kennels within the rescue would give her the chance to recover, regain her strength and live out her life with comfort until she hopefully finds a loving home.

We estimate the cost to build Nova’s sanctuary at **£1,500**, which includes both materials and labour.
