Since March of this year, Nishka has been fighting a heartbreaking battle with breast cancer. Watching it grow month by month has been terrifying, exhausting, and emotionally overwhelming.

The first veterinarian we saw told us she might only have one to two months left. A second vet gave us an impossible choice: either attempt surgery with serious risks, or monitor it month by month and prepare to say goodbye if it spread, became infected, or caused her suffering. We’ve been living in constant fear ever since.

Recently, we sought a third opinion—and for the first time, we were given real hope. This veterinarian believes the tumor can be removed before it reaches her lymph nodes, giving her a strong chance at recovery and more quality years of life. Time is critical, but this surgery could truly save her.

The cost of the surgery is approximately $1,600, which includes the procedure and necessary care. Unfortunately, my partner and I are low-income and already dealing with significant financial and emotional stress. As much as we wish we could do this on our own, we simply can’t without help.

We love her deeply. She is family. She is still full of life, love, and joy, and we are not ready to give up on her—especially now that there is real hope.
