Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out for help with my piggy Rupert. He was recently dewormed for a pretty bad case of roundworm and started having GI issues. He couldn’t keep down any food or water. Today we had to rush Rupert to New Bolton Center because he had a fever of 105.1° (it’s normally 98°, like people). He initially was getting a bit better but we just got the news that it’s all going downhill quick. His fever is up to 107° and he has hyperpyrexia (the fever is so high it will just keep increasing). He was just rushed into surgery to get an IV catheter placed in order to make blood draws and med administration easier, because pig veins are very difficult to access. This will give him the best chance at survival, because it’s so important to get the fever down before they can even get to the root of the problem. The surgery brings the total up to $4000 now. Anything will help, even if it is just your thoughts and prayers. Please help me save my sweet boy. It’s been my dream my whole life to have piggies.
