Help Us Save My Incredible Friend Vilma Mota’s Life

Donation protected
Hi, I am Mynor de León.
I am writing to you all with a request for your assistance on behalf of Vilma Mota with a humanitarian donation for my extraordinary friend and ex sister in Law. Vilma is an incredible fighter who has never given up in the face of adversity. She is the one of the hardest-working and strongest people I know, always putting others first and ready to help anyone in need. She has been the pillar of her family, a guide, and a great example of courage for all of us.

Her intestine was affected by a severe diverticular disease and a first intestinal perforation. To save her life, doctors performed an ileostomy (an ileostomy is a surgical procedure where the end of the small intestine is brought through an opening in the abdomen to allow waste to exit the body). Despite the challenges, she remained strong and determined to move forward.

However, over time, she developed a large hernia that caused her immense pain. Her doctor warned her it was a "ticking time bomb" and recommended surgery before an emergency occurred. The surgery was scheduled for February 24, 2025, during which they successfully closed the ileostomy, repaired the hernia, and reconnected her intestine. It was an 8-hour procedure, and everything seemed to go as planned.

Unfortunately, her recovery took a devastating turn. Her intestine did not respond as expected, and on March 1, she underwent another emergency surgery due to an intestinal blockage. While the doctors managed to correct the issue, she faced severe complications in the following days: dangerously high blood pressure, fever, and unbearable stomach pain.

On March 8, after a CT scan, she suffered another crisis. Her intestine had perforated again, requiring yet another emergency surgery. During the operation, the doctor attempted to perform another ileostomy. However her intestine was too fragile. Instead, he placed a patch with special tissue and adhesive, explaining that he had done everything possible… and that now, only a miracle could save her.

A close net of family and friends have been in the hospital for 18 days, with many more ahead. The doctor wants to wait as long as necessary to avoid further complications. Vilma is currently receiving parenteral (IV) nutrition and will need to remain in this condition for at least 1-2 weeks starting from March 9. As of today, she has already endured 6 days in this state.

Despite everything,Vilma is determined to live and keep fighting. Her biggest motivation right now is to be present at her younger daughter's graduation in May. This has been her dream since the beginning of this ordeal, and we are fighting every day to make it happen.

The family and her were prepared to cover the costs of the initial surgery, but with all the complications and additional procedures, the planned resources have been exhausted. That is why we are reaching out to you today, hoping for your support to help cover the hospitalizations, treatments, and everything she needs to recover.

Any contribution, no matter how small, to give Vilma an exemplar human being a new chance at life we all would be extremely grateful.
If you are unable to donate, It would be greatly appreciated if you could share this campaign to help it reach more people.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can offer. Together, we can help Vilma continue to be the incredible woman she is—a fighter, a caregiver, and our greatest inspiration.

Donate today and help us save her life.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
