When little Mr Beak was first found, he was standing helplessly in the middle of a busy road, cars rushing past him. In that dangerous moment, our Sydney rescuer Laura risked her own safety, running into traffic to save him.

To her shock, Mr Beak had no upper beak — a terrible injury that left him unable to eat or defend himself. Without hesitation, Laura rushed him to the vet, where the incredible Dr Nat performed a delicate surgery under anesthesia. Against all odds, Dr Nat managed to reposition Mr Beak’s beak from inside his mouth — truly a small miracle of compassion and skill.

But Mr Beak is not the only one. In the past two weeks, Laura has also rescued two more critically ill pigeons. One was suffering from severe canker and thrush inside the mouth, while another could no longer walk, dragging himself with his wings. Both are now under urgent treatment and slowly recovering.

Laura has been selflessly rescuing dozens of pigeons from her small apartment, giving them food, shelter, and hope. Veterinary bills, however, are overwhelming. So far, she has already spent nearly $500 out of her own pocket, and invoices will be shared once available from Dr Nat.

Every life saved is a victory, but Laura cannot do this alone. Your support — no matter how big or small — will directly go to vet bills and care for these fragile birds.
