This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to ask for, but we’re reaching out because our sweet Marilyn needs help. Recently, Marilyn began peeing blood. After an emergency vet visit, we learned she has crystals in her kidneys, a painful and dangerous condition that can worsen quickly if not treated. Due to her age (10 years old) and an underlying blood disorder, her situation is especially high-risk—if she were to get injured, she could bleed uncontrollably. Right now, she is on steroids and doxycycline and must return to the vet every two days so her doctors can closely monitor her progress. We are hoping and praying that this treatment works. If it doesn’t, the next step is an intensive treatment similar to chemotherapy, which could cost thousands of dollars. This treatment could give her a real chance at recovery and comfort, but it comes with a financial burden we cannot carry alone.

Marilyn is more than a pet—she is family. She has been with us through so much and has given nothing but unconditional love in return. Watching her go through this is heartbreaking, and all we want is to give her the care she deserves.
