Help Us Save Manzo
Donation protected
Hi I’m Josh, I was head chef at Manzo in Bishop Auckland before myself and my fiance Brogan took a huge risk to save manzo when the former owners stepped away.
Having spent a good chunk of my life around Bishop, I felt the town badly needed a venue like Manzo to bring a bit of something special to our little high street and that, along with keeping the amazing staff in a job, is why we fought hard to keep the doors open.
Unfortunately, the brewery that owns the building wants us out. They want to turn it back into a pub and while I’m well aware many of you missed the old station, I hope you’d miss our food and cocktails more.
But good news! We have secured a new home for manzo right up the street. The old Bistro 17 next to the Green Tree! We’re so excited to bring you the same amazing food and drinks you know in a freshly renovated new building.
However these types of renovations cost a lot. And given the very short notice the brewery has given us we just do not have time to raise the funds through traditional means. So I am asking for your help. Help me keep Manzo in Bishop Auckland for you all.
Any donations however small or large will be used solely for much needed work to the new venue, this includes a kitchen refit, painting, plastering, windows, doors, plumbing and much more I’d imagine.
Even a share on this post would be massively appreciated if you can’t donate.
we can’t wait to see you all down the road.
viva la Manzo Bishop Auckland!
