Help Us Save Lives — One Person at a Time
Emergencies don’t wait for professionals to arrive.
They happen in community centres, arenas, workplaces, farms, schools, and homes.
In those first critical minutes, the person who saves a life is often already there.
A coworker.
A coach.
A parent.
A stranger.
But too often, they don’t have the equipment they need to act.
Severe bleeding can cause death in less than five minutes.
That means survival often depends on what happens before emergency services arrive.
And that’s exactly why Project One Foundation Canada exists.
Our mission is simple:
Equip communities with lifesaving emergency equipment and recognize the people who step forward to save lives.
Because survival should never depend on luck or geography.
Why This Matters
Across Canada, people survive traumatic injuries because someone nearby had the courage and tools to act.
In one recent incident following a serious motor vehicle collision, a passerby stopped and applied a tourniquet before paramedics arrived — keeping the victim alive long enough to reach hospital care.
Medical experts consistently emphasize the same truth:
Bystanders are often the first and most important link in the chain of survival.
When someone is bleeding severely, the difference between life and death can be measured in minutes — sometimes seconds.
In fact, a person can bleed to death in as little as five minutes if bleeding is uncontrolled.
The right equipment — placed in the right location — can give ordinary people the ability to save a life.
Who We Are
Project One Foundation Canada was founded by individuals who have spent their lives responding to emergencies.
Our founding team includes first responders with decades of combined experience in policing, firefighting, paramedicine, and the Canadian Army — including members with domestic and combat deployments.
We have responded to:
Mass casualty incidents
Active shooter events
Serious motor vehicle collisions
Major fires and disasters
Critical medical emergencies
These experiences have taught us a simple but powerful truth:
Lives are often saved before professional responders ever arrive.
We have seen firsthand how quickly situations unfold — and how the right equipment, in the hands of someone willing to act, can mean the difference between life and death.
Our team also includes non-profit leaders and business professionals who are committed to building a sustainable organization capable of equipping communities across Canada.
Project One was created to bridge the gap between the moment an emergency begins and the moment professional help arrives.
What Project One Does
Project One Foundation Canada is a not-for-profit organization focused on two critical missions.
1. Equipping Communities
We are placing bleeding control kits and other lifesaving equipment in public spaces such as:
Community centres
Arenas and sports facilities
Schools
Workplaces
Public gathering spaces
So when emergencies happen, the tools to save a life are already there.
2. Recognizing Lifesaving Acts
When someone steps forward in a moment of crisis and saves another person’s life, that courage should be recognized and celebrated.
Project One works to formally recognize individuals who perform extraordinary acts of lifesaving service within their communities.
Because heroes often look like ordinary people who simply chose to act.
Your Donation Saves Lives
Every contribution helps place lifesaving equipment where it may be needed most.
$25 — Help Build a Lifesaving Kit
Your donation helps purchase essential supplies used in community bleeding control kits.
$50-- Provide a Tourniquet
A single tourniquet costs approximately $50 and is one of the most effective tools for stopping severe bleeding.
$150 — Build half a kit
Your support helps provide critical supplies that allow community members to act immediately during a bleeding emergency.
$300 — Place a Bleeding Control Kit in a Community Centre
A full bleeding control kit costs approximately $300 and can be installed in places like community centres, arenas, workplaces, or schools, providing immediate access to lifesaving tools.
$1,000+ — Protect an Entire Community
Larger donations allow us to install multiple kits across high-traffic public spaces and expand lifesaving access across communities.
One Moment Can Change Everything
Someone falls through glass at a workplace.
A child is injured during a sporting event.
A serious crash happens on a rural road.
In those moments, the person who saves a life is rarely a professional.
It’s the person already standing there.
Your donation ensures they have the tools to act when seconds matter most.
Our Goal
Project One was founded with a simple belief:
If we save one life, we have achieved our mission.
But together, we can save far more than one.
Because somewhere in Canada, one day, someone will reach for a kit placed through this program — and because of it, someone will go home to their family.
