Help Us Save Lincoln Gallery

Save Lincoln Gallery

Lincoln Gallery is the public face of the Thompson Valley Art League. The Gallery displays an engaging variety of art work from 40 artists who are juried members of the Thompson Valley Art League.  The Gallery is part of the downtown Loveland Arts District and seeks to be a center for bringing art to Loveland.  The art league engages the community in art, offering our community many opportunities to view high-quality art and to participate in multiple art events each year.

The Thompson Valley Art League is a non-profit organization which has been in existence since 1965.  The League is known because of the Lincoln Gallery but it is so much more.   The League offers public classes for all levels of artists, and sponsors and organizes Art in the Park – Colorado’s longest-running art fair for fine artists and artisans.  The League also supports member artists with opportunities for learning, networking, and sales of their work.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic,
Lincoln Gallery’s continued existence has been put in jeopardy.  The pandemic closed the Gallery, cancelled classes and forced the postponement of the National Fine Art Show.  We are now under a "safer at home" order.  Even though the gallery is open, social distancing needs and concerns will adversely affect gallery visits, workshop attendance, the National Show reception and sales, and Art in the Park – both artists’ participation, and the number of patrons who come to the event.  Thompson Valley Art League stands to lose tens of thousands of dollars.

In terms of Lincoln Gallery, here’s what we want to keep in our community for a long time to come:
·       a gallery where you can view and purchase fine art: oil, acrylic, mixed media, pastel and watercolor paintings, photography, jewelry, and fiber art, as well as sculpture, pottery and other unique 3D works.
·       fine art that can be acquired for a variety of reasons and across a range of prices, accommodating everything from gift-giving to beautifying your home or office.
·       a National Fine Art Show showcased in our Gallery
·       a home for classes and workshops – open to people at all levels of ability
·       support, encouragement and networking for local artists

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to underwrite the expenses that we must meet to keep the Gallery as a vital part of the arts community in Loveland.  We have staff salaries to pay.  Utilities, taxes, and insurance are not very sexy but they are necessary expenses to meet in order to remain in operation.  We also need to expand our ability to utilize technology for virtual events as well as increase our advertising in order to reach a wider audience.

THANK YOU so much for your support of the Art League and the Gallery.  We are here to serve you and to enrich your life; we won’t get through this without you and your support.

Please consider making a 100% tax-deductible donation to help save Lincoln Gallery and support the work of the Thompson Valley Art League.  Every gift – in any amount – will help us get closer to our goal of continuing to be part of a thriving downtown Loveland Arts District.  With your help we can be here for years to come – enriching lives and brightening our corner of this community and state.
