Hunter is one of our five beautiful huskies a loving, loyal part of our growing family.
In 2018, we brought home two husky pups from the same litter our “twins.” A year later, we were fortunate enough to welcome another from the same bloodline. Then in 2020, when Covid struck, the original owners of our pups faced devastating hardships. They could no longer keep Hunter the father of our three huskies and his mate, Sammy. No one was willing to take both of them together. My wife and I didn’t hesitate. Knowing they would likely be separated or possibly surrendered to a shelter, we brought them into our home. It was a difficult time for everyone, and we knew how hard it was becoming just to feed and care for pets. But for us, these huskies weren’t just animals they were family.
Fast-forward to today: Our household has grown to include five young children within the last three years. A set of triplets, followed by two more little ones. We are now a family of 12, including our pack of huskies, and we are doing everything we can to keep up with the demands of life, love, and responsibility.
Now, we are facing a heartbreaking and unexpected situation. Hunter urgently needs life-saving surgery due to serious internal complications. The procedure, along with post-op care and recovery, is estimated to cost between $13,000 to $16,000. This kind of expense is incredibly hard for us to manage, especially while raising five small children and caring for our other dogs. But we can’t imagine losing Hunter not after everything we’ve all been through together.
If you’re a fellow animal lover, or simply someone who believes in helping a family during their time of need, please consider donating. Even $5 can make a real difference. If you can’t give, please share this post to help us reach others who might be able to.
Hunter is more than just a dog. He’s a protector, a cuddle companion, a piece of our family history and right now, he needs us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, your support, and for helping us fight for our boy.
