This year has brought many unexpected challenges for our family. We’re facing the urgent need to pay property taxes on our house, and the situation has become especially difficult. My partner’s boss passed away, which has affected our household income and stability. On top of that, I’ve needed increasingly complex medical care, and suffered a loss of mobility because of it. These circumstances have made it nearly impossible to keep up with our financial responsibilities.

Our home is more than just a place to live—it’s our foundation and the base of operations for our grassroots nonprofit for over five years. Paying our property taxes will allow us to stay in our home, maintain stability, and continue serving our community through Ohana Kids Closet.
