**10th April**They found some other isuues with frank while operating so it took longer but the main one was he infact had IVDD stage 5 so went from 0-5 over night. He is now pain free he still can not use his back legs but this can take up to 4 weeks of healing but hes doing well
9th April update
Frank is now at cambridge having his operation 50% has been paid we need to find the rest before bringing him home. Thankyou so much for everyone whos dontated and shared it honestly means the world.
8 April Update
The original vet was quite happy to put him to sleep today at 2.40 despite being a healthy 3 year old dog (apart from his Hernia) if we did not have the full amount to pay.
We called another vets today and were given a leaflet called THINK REFERRALS THINK FRANK. How Ironic. And was told to take this to our vets to be referred.
we showed our vet the leaflet and the prices we had been quoted (between £5500 and £6000) which were substantially lower than we were quoted yesterday and were told by the receptionist after speaking to someone that they refer to the same place and the price from our vets should be the same so the vet we saw yesterday obviously gave us incorrect information.
We are now waiting for a call tomorrow to move Frank from the original vet to one of these referral vets which is 2 to 3 hours drive away.
Further updates to follow.
Hello this is Frank he is 3 years old
He is a emotional support dog for my friends son..
Last night 6th April Frank started to shake and not be able to use one of his back legs - phoned the vets and was told to take him in today 7th April.
He is still there at the moment. Currently not been able to use both back legs we have had a phone call to say he has a Hernia on his spine that can be removed but will be £9 thousand pounds!!
The other option is to leave it keep him on meds that will help with pain but no idea on the use of his back legs that will only just buy him time.
THe final option is to let him go over the rainbow bridge ;( Unfortunately vets no longer do payment plans.. if anyone can please help this would be so grateful.
Thankyou so much
