Four years ago, I started trapping and caring for feral cats in my neighborhood. What began as a small effort quickly grew—now, I get calls from many towns, sometimes to help with just one cat, other times with entire houses of 34 cats. With the help of a friend, we vetted over 499 cats and kittens just last year. We recently took in three bottle babies, and we’re still caring for kittens from last year who haven’t found homes yet.

Every cat we rescue gets spayed or neutered, receives vet care, and is socialized so they can be adopted into loving homes. Some of our cats have serious medical needs. Right now, we have three cats needing dental work, with procedures costing hundreds of dollars each. One cat is battling a severe leg infection and has needed frequent vet visits for shots and skin care. Thankfully, with a dedicated vet, he won’t lose his leg.

All the bills for food, litter, and vetting come out of my pocket. I work hard to help these cats, but the costs are overwhelming—especially the dental bills. We know how painful a toothache can be, and we want to give these cats the relief and care they deserve. We really need help to keep going. Any donation, big or small, makes a difference.
