This is a fundraiser for Ellie. This is her last shot.
Ellie is a four year old German shepherd/husky mix. A valentines gift from my wife. The love of my life.
We don’t have children, so our pets are our kids. Last month Ellie developed a cough. We took her to the veterinarian, thinking she had developed some form of kennel cough or pneumonia, as it is the winter season and we had just moved back from a military stationing overseas in the UK.
Her chest was filled with fluid. We had it drained, and she was treated with pain medication and antibiotics. She bounced back for a bit. Started to gain weight.
The cough has come back as of last night, along with bloody mucus.
Our savings are drained after the move (the military doesn’t pay to move your pets) and my own surgery fund for my top surgery is now gone. Her diagnostic, imagery, medication, and possible surgery costs are more than we imagined and more than we can bear. I’m picking up extra hours but the money won’t come fast enough.
