Help Us Save Edgar's Eyesight
Donation protected
Hi, everyone. Laura Cardiel here to ask for support for my cousin, Edgar's, family. As many of you know, life has thrown some serious curveballs to my family as of late. My dad passed away this past June, and the grieving is serious. He lived with blindness due to diabetes. Unfortunately, this is a more common occurrence in my family than you know. I have an uncle, my dad's younger brother, who also has lost his vision. Before my dad and my uncle, my tia More (QEPD) also had challenges with her vision.
Sadly, I've recently found out that my dear cousin, Edgar Cardiel--who is more like a brother to me--may be headed down the same path. He has been diagnosed with Keratoconus, which is a progressive eye condition that could lead to blindness, if he does not have two procedures done to stop it. You can read about Keratoconus here.
Edgar is a husband and the father of two beautiful girls. He works hard for his family. He's too young to go through what our parent's generation are going through with respect to eye health. We couldn't bear for him to face the challenges our family members have had to endure.
I ask that you consider making a small donation to his family to pay for the two procedures he must have. We found an excellent doctor in Mexico who has performed the surgeries successfully on others. We are hopeful these procedures will prevent Edgar from not being able to see his beautiful wide, his little girls grow up, or anything else in this world he has yet to explore.
Thank you so much in advance for your support.
