"Help Us Save Chammy, Our Little Warrior"

My name is Jadee Thiel and I am creating this GoFundMe to help Jhakia "Chammy" Andres Resane (5 years old from the Philippines) and her amazing family during this difficult time as she battles Leukemia.

It all started back in October 2024 when we noticed a lump on Chammy’s neck. We thought it was just a swollen lymph node. After several check-ups and rounds of antibiotics with no improvement, we decided to get a second opinion. After undergoing a series of tests, we received the heartbreaking news. Chammy was diagnosed with Large Cell Lymphoma, a type of cancer that spreads quickly. The doctor told us that while it’s aggressive, it is one of the most treatable types of cancer, especially in children, as long as chemotherapy is started as soon as possible.

Chammy began her first chemo session, but after that, her platelet count dropped drastically. The doctor became concerned, fearing it might be progressing into more serious conditions. Chammy bravely went through tests and treatments, but just when we thought we were starting to win the battle, her condition got worse and it has now turned into Leukemia.

As of May 28, 2025, she has been given 2 bags of blood. At this point, she requires a platelet transfusion which may take a few days to complete.

In about two weeks, she will be transferred to Manila to continue further treatment.

Currently, the doctors are working on strengthening her immune system and trying to increase her platelet count. Recently, she has struggled to eat due to constant pain in her head. She hasn’t been eating for the past days, causing her a lot of pain. She has also been vomiting blood, which is why the blood transfusion is urgently needed. She is very weak at the moment, but she’s fighting. Doctors fear her cancer may have already spread to her bones, and we are currently waiting for the results of her bone marrow biopsy.

Chammy is still so young and full of life, yet she is now facing the biggest fight of her life. She is strong, brave, and full of hope, our family’s little warrior. Your donation, no matter the size, helps Chammy in her fight.
