Help us save Cat

Hi my name is Lauren, I am a mother to a beautiful 7 year old girl and a beautiful cat named Cat, Cat is a new addition to our little family, he was adopted by my housemate and attached himself to my daughter George, he picked his person and my housemate couldn't deny it, we fell completely inlove and now feel that without Cat our family would be incomplete and we would be heartbroken. A couple of days ago we found Cat hiding and crying in pain, as we quickly came to realize our sweet boy was unable to stand or walk, this was completely out of the blue, we were devastatingly worried and took him to the vet without considering the expenses that would be to come. We have just had his microchip and registration put in our name and have been comparing pet insurance companies and incredibly this has happened and our new insurance will not cover what's called 'pre-existing health injuries/conditions'

I have had the consultation and Cat is on pain relief now, now we need to get him an x-ray and blood test to get a diagnosis for what's happening to him. The vet said it could be a spinal injury or fracture that surgery can rectify or it could be a blood clot or cancer in which case it's fatal and our journey will be cut short with Cat. I have to do whatever I can to give him a fighting chance, my daughter and I are staying positive and doing everything we can to get help financing his xray and blood testing but we've been quoted between $1072 to $1,372 in total. This is not the kind of money I can come up with this short of notice and I'm afraid we'll have to surrender him if we can't get him the help he needs. I have a little girl in tears holding her beloved cat and I can't promise her a happy ending... but with your help maybe we can! I know asking for charity is shocking with the economy and the financial struggle most of us encounter, I know the struggle I promise. If there is anyone who could spare any donation big or small it will mean everything, I can't articulate our level of gratitude.
