Carl, my dog, my best friend, was recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma, which is a cancerous bone tumor discovered in his right front leg. Since this is an aggressive type of cancer, if left untreated, Carl may have 4-6 months at best. Candidly, the thought of prematurely losing my buddy is far more important than preserving my pride in asking for help. So here I am!

The funds we are raising will go towards surgery to amputate his leg and chemo treatments, which is currently his only option other than keeping him comfortable and preparing to say goodbye. The poor guy isn’t walking well anymore and spends most of his days in one spot. This treatment path is intended to take away the pain, beat cancer, and give him a good quality of life again. He’ll join the tribe of all the other tri-pawd warriors out there!

If you know Carl, you probably love Carl, and he loves you and he loves life. His love of sitting in the driver’s seat in an empty car. His ability to light up a room with that smile and those little baby bottom teeth. His back legs going weak when he gets a really good scratchy-scratch. He makes us all laugh at the stigma of his breed because he’s the most loyal, lovable guy around. A very good boy.
