Three days ago, our sweet boy Brutus ate something he shouldn’t have, a diaper. At first, we hoped he would pass it safely. But two days later, he became sick and uncomfortable. After urgent X-rays, we received the news every pet owner fears, Brutus had a blockage and needed emergency surgery immediately.
He went into surgery, and while the procedure was necessary to save his life, there have been follow-up complications. Right now, Brutus is fighting, and we are holding onto hope with everything we have. He is not even six years old. He is our beautiful, loving, loyal companion, and he deserves the chance to recover fully and live many more happy years growing with his human siblings.
As many know, emergency veterinary care comes with overwhelming costs. We would do absolutely all we can for Brutus, and we are, but the financial burden has been heavy and unexpected.
We are normally not ones to ask for support, but desperate times calls for desperate measures.
We are asking, humbly, for support. Any amount helps. If you are not in a position to donate, please keep Brutus in your thoughts and prayers and consider sharing this page. That alone means more than you know.
Thank you to our community for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. We are praying for strength, healing, and a full recovery for our snuggle bug.
Thank you to Springwood Animal Hospital for doing all you can to help our boy.
