*We want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and shared the fundraiser. He has had his first vet visit (including first round of vaccines and bloodwork), and has been neutered. He required a slightly more involved procedure for neutering and recovery will take a bit longer. He’s doing well, but keeping a puppy calm isn’t easy so our big focus is to keep him from overdoing it while he heals.

His bloodwork showed possible signs of parasites, but the heart worm test was negative. He has started on Heartgard+ and and we will be watching him closely over the next few weeks.

Through all of this he has been the sweetest pup, takes his meds with no struggle and is getting along with Meesh.*

A few weeks ago, a young puppy wandered into our yard (maybe 4-6 months). He ran right up and jumped on me, tail wagging, and followed me around all morning.

At first, we thought he found a good home with a neighbor. But it became clear that he was being neglected. He kept coming back to our yard, day and night, searching for food, water, and attention.

On the third day of him being at our house all day long, we knew we couldn’t let him suffer any longer. He was exhausted, dehydrated and struggling. He’s now resting in our climate-controlled shed where he can eat, drink, and sleep without fear. He’s such a sweet, gentle boy with the best temperament. But he needs medical care.

What he needs:

• A full vet exam, including blood and urine testing

• Vaccinations

• Neutering, once he’s healthy enough

• Possible treatment for hip/leg issues (he struggles to sit and stand sometimes)

• Supportive care to help him regain strength after being on his own for so long

We’re committed to giving this little guy the chance he deserves, but the costs of exams, testing, and treatment are more than we can cover alone.

Every dollar will go directly to his veterinary care. If we raise more than needed, any extra will go toward his continued food, medications, and comfort while he heals.
