Help Us Save a Sweet Pup Hit by a Car—Twice

Donation protected

**UPDATE AUGUST 5TH**
We’re thrilled to share that the dog we rescued originally called Spotty is actually named Koko, and he’s been reunited with his owner! After days of recovery and care, we were able to connect Koko with his owner who had been desperately searching for him. It was an emotional and beautiful reunion.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to reach our initial fundraising goal to cover Koko’s emergency treatment, which truly saved his life.

However, Koko’s healing journey isn’t over. He still needs surgery on his broken leg, and the estimated cost is $1,500. This procedure is critical for him to regain full mobility and live without pain.

We’re now raising funds specifically to cover his surgery and follow-up care. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward giving Koko the healthy, happy life he deserves — back at home, where he belongs.

Thank you again for your kindness, compassion, and continued support. ❤️

**UPDATE AUGUST 4TH**

We made over our goal in less than 24 hours!!! Thank you to all of those who donated & shared Spotty’s page. We are so grateful for the generosity of our community in this time of need. ❤️

Keep an eye out on CHANNEL 10 NEWS for an upcoming story on Spotty (aka Sparky)!
This is just the first step in Spotty’s recovery process. His upcoming anticipated medical expenses include the cost of having to get his arm re-casted at the vet (which they recommended once a week for at least a 2 month period) and general vet visit fees/prescriptions. We are currently researching local veterinary services that would be willing to help Spotty for lower rates - recommendations welcomed.

The team behind Spotty is dedicated to helping him heal as well as find a forever home. We also respect and value any and all donations given toward Spotty, and we will move forward with full transparency regarding your donations.

Any further support for Spotty’s journey would be greatly appreciated. Our NEW GOAL is to raise $1,500 towards additional medical expenses. Updates regarding his medical status will be shared on this page.
On behalf of Spotty, we thank you all again for your kindness and sympathy towards this situation.

Help Spotty Heal After Being Hit by Two Cars!

Our mission is simple: to save a dog’s life.

Just after midnight on August 1st, a small dog , now lovingly named Spotty was crossing NE 2nd Ave and 59th Street in front of Laundromat Art Space when he was struck by a speeding car that drove off. Moments later, he was hit again.

We witnessed the accident and couldn’t stand by. A friend rushed Spotty to Veterinary Emergency Group on Biscayne and 27th, where their team helped save his life.

Spotty suffered head trauma and a broken leg, along with other injuries to his small body. He’s now stable and receiving care, but his recovery will require continued medical treatment and love.

So far, Spotty’s emergency care has totaled $3,094.25, and he’ll need follow-up visits, medications, and rehabilitation to fully recover.

We’re raising funds to cover:

Emergency veterinary care

X-rays and pain management

Follow-up treatments and check-ups

He will also need a foster home once he's discharged until he finds the forever family he deserves.

Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Spotty’s medical bills and recovery. If you can’t give, please consider sharing, it truly makes a difference.

Thank you for your compassion and support. Let’s give Spotty the second chance he deserves. ❤️
