Help Us Run the Ipswich Half Marathon for Two Charities!

Hi everyone!

We’re Josh and Zara, and we’re excited (and a little nervous!) to announce that we’re taking on the Ipswich Half Marathon on 22nd September 2024! This isn’t just any race for us – it’s an opportunity to raise money for two charities that are very close to our hearts: Pancreatic Cancer UK and Shine (Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus). Pancreatic Cancer UK's vision is to transform the future for pancreatic cancer by funding research breakthroughs, campaigning for changes to treatment and care and supporting people when they need it the most. Shine's vision is to make a positive difference by providing support to the lives of people affected by spina bifida and / or hydrocephalus.

Both of these charities have had a profound impact on our lives, and we’re passionate about helping them continue their amazing work. Whether it’s supporting people through tough times, raising awareness, or providing vital resources, these organisations are making a real difference – and we want to do our part to support them.

We’ve been training hard (and sweating a lot!) to prepare for the 13.1 miles ahead of us! Every run and every step is driven by a desire to make a difference. While the miles will be tough, we’re inspired by the causes we’re supporting and the people they help. Our goal is not just to cross the finish line but to ensure these charities can continue their important work and reach even more people in need. But we can’t do it alone. That’s where you come in!

We know times are tough for everyone, and asking for donations isn’t something we take lightly. But no matter how small, every donation makes a huge difference. By contributing, you’ll be helping us support these incredible charities in their mission to offer hope, support, and life-changing resources to those who need them most.

All funds raised will be split equally between Pancreatic Cancer UK and Shine (Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus). These organisations rely on the generosity of people like you, and your donation could help them continue the life-changing work that has impacted so many. Every penny counts!
