For more than 50 years, Panayia Eleousa Greek Orthodox Church has been the heart of our community in Nottingham, Derby, and the surrounding districts.

Today, we are asking for your support to help preserve this sacred place for future generations.

For over half a century, Panayia Eleousa has been the spiritual home of the Greek Orthodox community across Nottingham, Derby, and beyond.

Our church has witnessed countless baptisms, weddings, memorials, celebrations, and prayers.

It is a place where families gather, traditions are preserved, and faith is passed from one generation to the next.

Many people believe that our church receives funding from outside organisations, but the reality is that our church is entirely supported by the generosity of our community.

Recently, we were blessed to complete beautiful additions to our church, including the Pantokrator and surrounding iconography, and we are currently progressing with the Iconostasis, which is central to Orthodox worship.

Today, however, our beloved Church urgently requires renovation to ensure it remains a safe, welcoming, and dignified place of worship for generations to come.

We are raising funds for several essential repairs and improvements, including:

Seating Providing safe and comfortable seating for our congregation, while improving accessibility for elderly members and those who use wheelchairs.

Flooring Repairing and renewing worn areas of the church interior to preserve both the beauty and safety of the space.

Heating System Installing a new heating system so our church remains warm and accessible during the winter months. Unfortunately, our current system has broken and now requires full replacement.

These improvements are vital in preserving the beauty, reverence, and functionality of our church.

After faithfully serving our community for more than five decades, it is now our turn to care for and restore this Holy Space.
