Josué Daniel Navarro Zamora is originally from Honduras and like many who come to the United States searching for a better future he arrived in this country knowing very little about the culture or language Through determination hard work and perseverance he learned English adapted to a new environment and built many meaningful friendships and connections within his community.

Josué was a senior at Beau Chêne High School in Arnaudville where many people knew him as a soccer player a good friend and someone who always treated others with respect Those who went to school with him or know him personally understand the quality of person he is kind hardworking and someone who has always tried to do the right thing.

Josué worked hard to follow the rules and build his life the right way He had all of his documentation in order and was legally present in the United States He had a valid driver’s license and was doing his best to live responsibly and move forward in life.

Unfortunately one night Josué made the mistake of driving under the influence of alcohol He takes responsibility for that decision but one mistake should not define who he is or erase all the effort he has put into building his life and relationships.

Despite having his documentation in order and being legally present in the country Josué was taken into ICE custody and is now facing the possibility of deportation This has been extremely difficult for his family friends and everyone who knows and cares about him Our hope and prayer is that he will be given the opportunity to fight his case and remain in the country where he has built his life and community.

We are raising funds to help cover the legal expenses needed to hire an immigration attorney and fight for Josué’s case Every donation will help give him a fair opportunity to defend himself and continue building the future he has worked so hard for.

In the unfortunate event that Josué is deported which we truly hope and pray will not happen any remaining donations will be used to help him relocate and rebuild his life in another country where he may have the opportunity to start over after being away from Honduras for so many years.

If you know Josué you already know the kind of person he is If you do not we kindly ask you to consider supporting this campaign or sharing it with others Your support prayers and kindness mean more than words can express during this difficult time.

Thank you for standing with Josué and his family.
