Help Us Return to Brazil: Our Immigration Journey

Hi, my name is Fernanda, I came to Canada with my husband, Alex, and 2 daughters, Laura and Julia, we came to Canada with a dream—to build a better future, to work hard, and to eventually become Canadian citizens. We believed in this country and its values, and we poured our hearts into making a life here. But things didn’t go as planned.

After years of effort, we recently received a letter from the IRCC denying our visa. The message was clear: we must leave Canada immediately. This news was devastating, not just because our dreams were shattered, but because we had no financial means to purchase the plane tickets back to Brazil.

Since October 2nd, I have been unable to work due to the complexities of our immigration situation. With no income and no government assistance, we are now stranded in a foreign country with no way to comply with the IRCC’s order. Our only hope is the kindness of others.

We are launching this GoFundMe to ask for help in raising enough money to buy our tickets home. Without it, we risk becoming undocumented, which is something we do not want. We respect the laws and want to do things the right way, but we need support to make that happen.
