My name is Mira Marasina and on 1.8.2026 my childhood home, a residential building was struck by a Shahed drone twice. Families are suddenly without the most basic necessities of life.

As a result of the attack, the building has no electricity, no heat, and no running water. Elevators are completely out of service. Elderly residents, people with disabilities, and families with small children are trapped in upper floors—some 10, 15, or more flights up.

Food and clean water are extremely limited. With winter conditions and no heating, families are struggling to stay warm inside damaged apartments. Children and seniors are especially vulnerable, facing dangerous conditions they cannot escape on their own.

The financial burden on these families is overwhelming. They are facing emergency repairs, medical needs, temporary housing costs, and basic survival expenses—all while living in a war zone.
