Everything changed the day the government’s corridor development project arrived, turning our parish’s only source of income, our rental shops, into dust. Our tenants are displaced, our staff face uncertainty, and our main gate and fence are gone. In the silence that followed, we remembered Nehemiah's words: "the people had a mind to work."

Now, we face a government ultimatum. We now have only a few weeks. We need your support to reconstruct the church’s fence and rental shops, our community's heartbeat. ለደብረ ዘይት/ቢሾፍቱ ቅድስት ሥላሴ ካቶሊክ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የእርዳታ ጥሪ

አቅም አጥተን ቡልዶዘሮቹ የኑሯችንን መሠረት ሲያፈርሱት ቆመን ተመለከትን። የመንግሥት የኮሪደር ልማት ፕሮጀክት የመጣ ዕለት ሁሉም ነገር ተለወጠ፤ የቁምስናችን ብቸኛ የገቢ ምንጭ የነበሩትን ሱቆቻችንን ወደ አፈርነት ቀየረው። ተከራዮቻችን ተፈናቅለዋል፣ ሠራተኞቻችን እርግጠኝነት አጥተዋል፣ ዋናው በራችንና አጥራችንም ፈርሷል። በሰፈነው ጸጥታ ውስጥ፣ የነህምያን ቃል አስታወስን፦ "ሕዝቡ ለመሥራት አንድ ልብ ነበራቸው።"

አሁን ከመንግሥት የተሰጠንን የመጨረሻ ማስጠንቀቂያ ተጋፍጠናል፤ የጥቂት ሳምንታት ቀነ ገደብ ተሰጥቶናል። የማኅበረሰባችን የልብ ትርታ የሆኑትን የአጥራችንንና የኪራይ ሱቆቻችንን መልሰን ለመገንባት የናንተ ድጋፍ ያስፈልገናል። ያለ እርዳታችሁ… አንድ አድርጎ የያዘንን የተቀደሰ ስፍራ እናጣለን። ነገር ግን መንፈሳችን አልተሰበረም። ሕዝቡ ለመሥራት ልብ በነበራቸው ጊዜ “ቅጥሩን ሠራን፤ ቅጥሩም ሁሉ ተያያዘ” የሚለውን እናስታውሳለን። ማኅበረሰብ ማለት ይህ ነው፦ የፈረሰውን ለመገንባት በዓለም ዙሪያ የተዘረጉ እጆች። የምንጠይቀው ገንዘብ ብቻ አይደለም፤ ከእኛ ጋር ግንበኛ እንዲሆኑ ጭምር ነው። “እንነሣና እንሥራ” የሚለውን የነህምያ ጥሪ እንድንመልስ ዘንድ እርዱን። የእርስዎ ስጦታ፣ መጠኑ ምንም ይሁን ምን፣ ለአዲሱ መሠረታችን እንደ አንድ ድንጋይ ነው።

እባካችሁ ቅጥራችንን ዳግም እንድንገነባ እርዱን። ማኅበረሰባዊነት እንዲህ መሆኑን ለዓለም እንድናሳይ እርዱን። የትንሣኤያችን ታሪክ አካል ይሁኑ። ድጋፋችሁ መዋጮ ብቻ አይደለም፤ በአዲሱ መሠረታችን ላይ የሚቀመጥ ጡብ፣ በተግባር የተገለጠ የእምነት ምስክርነት ነው። ከልብ እናመሰግናለን።
