Help Us Restore Obi Wan's Mobility!

Hello, we are the Banes family! In 2017, our journey with Obi Wan began when we welcomed this adorable pup into our lives from a rescue event at PetCo. At just 4 months old, Obi stole our hearts with his playful spirit and endearing charm. As avid fan’s of Star Wars, it was only fitting to name him Obi Wan "K9" Kenobi, affectionately known as Obi.

Since then, Obi has become an integral part of our family dynamic. He's not just a pet; he's a beloved companion who brings joy to our home every single day. Whether it's engaging in spirited games of tug'o war, frolicking in the backyard, or simply lounging around the house, Obi's presence is a constant source of happiness.

Growing up alongside our children, Bella and Lucas, Obi has formed an unbreakable bond with them. They adore him, relishing in playful antics like chasing him with toys and engaging in delightful "singing" sessions where Obi responds to their barks with his own melodious howls. His quirky “snaggle-tooth” smile, hilarious lounge-positions, and deer-like prancing never fails to bring laughter to our home.

However, Obi's journey has recently taken a challenging turn. Alongside battling skin allergies, he has suffered a serious injury to his back knee, coupled with a patella luxation. These conditions require urgent surgical intervention to restore his mobility and alleviate his pain.

The surgical procedures required are approximately $7,000. While this is a significant financial burden for our family, we are determined to provide Obi with the care he needs to live a fulfilling and pain-free life.

At just 7 years old, Obi has many more years of love and companionship to offer. Without this surgery, he faces a future reliant on pain medication and the looming risk of further mobility issues.
