Rebuilding Hope for Jamaica After the Hurricane

1. Who we are

We are a small volunteer team made up of builders, plumbers, electricians, and vehicle drivers from the Birmingham area of England, united by one shared goal — to bring hands-on help and real hope to families in Jamaica who have been devastated by the recent catastrophic hurricane.

2. Where we’re from

Our team is based in Birmingham, UK, but our hearts have always been with Jamaica. Many of us were born there, have family still living on the island, or grew up surrounded by its culture, love, and spirit. Jamaica isn’t just a place to us — it’s home, it’s our roots, and it’s the heartbeat of who we are. Seeing the destruction and the suffering of people we know and love has been truly heartbreaking. That’s why we’re coming together — not just to send help, but to be there, to stand shoulder to shoulder with our people and help them rebuild their lives.

3. Our relationship to the people we’re helping

We have personal connections to the communities affected — these are our loved ones, our neighbors, and our people. We’ve heard their voices, seen their messages, and felt their pain from across the ocean. Many have lost homes, belongings, and access to food and clean water. This fundraiser is our way of standing by them and helping them rebuild what’s been lost, piece by piece.

4. How the funds will be spent

We plan to travel directly to Jamaica by the end of November to deliver emergency food and drink supplies to those in urgent need. Once there, we’ll source local building materials to support the rebuilding of homes and essential infrastructure.

Your donations will go directly toward:

Purchasing and transporting emergency food and drink supplies from the UK to Jamaica

Buying local building materials (wood, roofing, cement, and tools) to rebuild homes

Covering transport and logistics costs so our team can reach remote communities

Restoring basic services and safety for families most affected

We are managing this mission personally to ensure that every pound raised goes directly to relief and rebuilding efforts — no middlemen, no unnecessary costs.
