I’m a disabled veteran doing my best to care for my special needs autistic son and our rescue pups. Lately, it’s felt like one challenge after another. I tried to get back on my feet by finding a job, but instead, I ended up in the hospital and needed a couple of surgeries. Just as I was trying to recover and teying to get on my feet, our hot water went out. When I called a company to check it, they quoted me a price for a new water heater, which I simply couldn’t afford. I thought I could wait, but an hour later, the pipes to the water heater exploded and flooded our basement.

Now, I’m facing an insurance deductible, the cost of a new water heater, and installation. To make things worse, the fans and dehumidifiers used for cleanup knocked out what little power we had left in the basement. My son spends most of his time down there, and now there’s no power or WiFi. The power was already partly out because a locksmith accidentally fried an outlet a while back. I never thought I’d be in this position, but I’m reaching out for help.

Any financial support would mean the world to us. It would help us get hot water running again, restore power to the basement, and bring some stability back into our lives. We were able to get a water heater installed minus the installation fee. Huge blessing from 2 gentleman from our church. Now, I am focused on the power. The fans and dehumidifiers keep knocking out my power. At first it was downstairs but now it's throughout the house.
