Help us Replace the Roof at Quail Ridge Pocket Beagles
Donation protected
At 10:57 PM on the night of May 22nd our lives and our beagle breedership were changed forever by the most horrendous storm that Maura and I had ever experienced at Quail Ridge Pocket Beagles. We were hit with a "Micro-Burst," inside a torrential rainstorm. The straight-line winds were in excess of 100+ mph and tore through our barn, dismembering it and throwing half the north side of the roof up and over the barn onto the south section of the roof and down on the north row of our kennel system. It proceeded SW flattening a 24' long cattle shelter and then destroying our solar well in the south pasture. By the grace of God, no animals were hurt or lost, but we sustained serious structural damage to the barn and the north side of our home was flooded. The damage to the barn is estimated at $120,000.00 which has a deductible and only $40,000 of coverage for "out-buildings." Our home has been inspected and there is water damage to the interior, the walls and the ceiling. All of this home damage has yet to be assessed. The total damage will be well over $200,000.00. Our barn currently has no roof on it and this is critical to our operation.
