Hi, I am Vicky and I am the manager at Oak Tree Lodge care home in Gipton, Leeds.

we are distraught that two of our memorial benches which were at the front of our care home at the entrance have been stolen over night. The benches were secured with wire so someone has planned to steal these and brought the necessary equipment with them. This is absolutely heartbreaking as one bench was for a member of staff who very sadly passed away, and another for a resident who sadly passed away and the bench was donated by her husband.

we are shocked, saddened and appalled that someone could steal two memorial benches that had engravings and plaques on them, and we are fundraising to get these replaced, which we will keep behind the secure gates in the garden.
