During a peaceful demonstration in Manchester, officers from Greater Manchester Police unprovokedly pushed a group of activists into our PA system, causing serious damage. Since then, things have gone downhill - the system has become increasingly unusable. The carrying handles have snapped off, the casing has holes in it, and there's now a persistent hissing sound that makes it difficult to use effectively.

This was a high-powered, weather-resistant system, but it's now barely functional - and transporting it has become nearly impossible, due to its size. We urgently need a replacement.

This isn't just for Students Against Tyranny. The new system will be shared with Patriots of Britain, Turning Point UK, and other UK political groups who regularly rely on quality sound for demonstrations and public events.

I've already committed £300-400 of my own money, and we've identified a strong candidate: the Vonyx VX1050BT (£499). However, with more support, we could afford a better, more durable speaker that suits our growing needs. At one of our most recent demonstrations in Norwich, our speaker was even dwarfed in volume by the counter-protest - a feet, they'd never achieved before. Union money, ey?

We need a new system that enables us to go much louder, than at previous protests.

Every penny raised will go directly toward the new PA system - nothing else.
