At the end of December 2021, our Prius (and main form of transportation) was totaled in a major wreck. My wife was rushed to the trauma center via ambulance and thankfully they didn’t find any broken bones however, even 8 months post-accident, Alyssa still deals with chronic pain and severe PTSD. Without transportation and suffering with constant pain, she was unable to return to her job. We have been using our camping/work van as a backup to get me to work and run errands, but recently it was also totaled in a collision and isn’t running. With the used car market as inflated as it is we can’t afford to replace them on a solo income, and so far insurance, police and multiple lawyers have not been able to do anything despite being found not at fault in both cases, so we are asking for your help to cover the short term costs of acquiring reliable transportation so we can afford to get to work and doctors’ appointments.
