Recently, my grandson and I experienced a frightening car accident that reminded me just how quickly an ordinary day can turn upside down. We were driving through an intersection when another driver failed to yield and struck our vehicle on the front driver’s side. The impact was strong enough that the axel and the frame are both damaged leaving my car declared a “totaled car”.

In those first few moments after the crash, my only thought was my grandson. Thankfully, we were both able to walk away from the accident. We are sore, bruised, and still a bit shaken, but we are incredibly grateful that it wasn’t worse. It truly could have been.

While we are thankful to be safe, the accident left me facing a very real challenge: I no longer have a vehicle. My car was essential for everyday life: getting to work, running errands, attending appointments, helping care for my family, and simply getting from place to place. Losing it so suddenly has made daily responsibilities much more difficult.

Because of this unexpected situation, I am humbly asking for support after my accident.

My hope is to raise $5,000 to help replace my vehicle with a reliable used car.

This amount will help cover the cost of purchasing a dependable vehicle so I can regain the independence and stability that transportation provides.
