Help Us Replace our Adoption Event Tent

For many years, Bushwick Street Cats, North Brooklyn Cats and Whiskers-A-Gogo have held weekly adoption events in the backyard of Bushwick Bark on Irving in a large wall tent. A couple weeks ago, a heavy snow finally demolished the tent. We decided we need to upgrade to a sturdier pavilion to provide more reliable shelter all year long. We need help raising the funds to cover the cost of the new structure plus installation (we'll also need to swap out the curtains with heavier material for winter). Once we have it set up we can return to helping community cats find adoptive homes from the yard every Sunday!

Who are we?

We're 3 small rescue orgs (all 501c3 nonprofits) who help cats in our communities through TNR (trap-neuter-return) and adoption.

What do we need?

We need to raise enough money to buy a sturdy aluminum gazebo to replace the tent we lost to recent heavy snow.

Why do we need it?

We don't have our own shelter space, so these events are the only time the public can meet a large selection of our cats at once. All of our cats are fostered by volunteers in the community.

When do we need it?

ASAP! Our friends at The Neighborhood Vet have graciously offered us their office space to hold adoption events in the meantime but we want to get back to the yard soon! Our events occur every Sunday from 1 to 4 pm.

Where is it?

181 Irving Ave in the backyard of Bushwick Bark. But while we're working on getting the replacement we'll be at The Neighborhood Vet, 169 Central Ave.
