On October 17th, a large tree unexpectedly fell on our home, causing significant damage to the roof, dining room, porch, living room, and kitchen. My husband, my disabled son, our dogs, and I all live together here, and this event has turned our daily lives upside down. While we are grateful that everyone is safe and there are no immediate safety concerns, the damage has made it difficult to keep our home warm as the weather gets colder.

We are currently staying in our home, but the emotional and financial stress has been overwhelming. With my ongoing health issues, it’s been a struggle to keep up with mortgage payments while also trying to address the urgent repairs our home needs.
