My father passed away Saturday night, I need to get to California to take care of his affairs and arrange his funeral.
A recent storm hit our area and caused severe damage to our only vehicle. The windshield is broken and the back window is completely gone. My family—myself, my husband, and our 10-year-old daughter—are already struggling to find stable housing, and in less than a month, we may be forced to live in our car. Without a safe and working vehicle, we are facing an even more uncertain and dangerous situation. My husband relies on our car to get to work, and without it, he could lose his job. I also have severe medical issues that require multiple doctor visits each week, and without a safe vehicle, I won’t be able to get the care I need. The damage from the storm has left us feeling overwhelmed and scared for our future. We simply can’t afford the repairs on our own right now. We are reaching out to our community for help. Any support you can give—whether it’s a donation or sharing our story—would mean the world to us. Your kindness can help us repair our car, keep our family safe, and give us a chance to get back on our feet. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can offer.
