My name is John, and I am 78 years old. My wife is 75. We are both doing our best to get by on Social Security, but it just isn’t enough to cover all our needs. Every month, we run out of food and have to rely on food banks to get by. We receive SNAP benefits, but it only covers a small amount for both of us, which doesn’t stretch very far.
Recently, while standing in line at the food bank, I passed out and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. I spent a few days in the hospital, and it made me realize just how important it is for us to be able to get to our doctor’s appointments and food banks safely. Without a working car, it’s almost impossible for us to get the help and food we need. We are reaching out to our community because we need help to repair our car and make sure we can keep getting to the places that keep us healthy and fed.
Any support you can give would mean so much to us. Your help will go directly toward fixing our car, buying groceries, and making sure we can get to our medical appointments and other important places. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering a donation. Your kindness would make a real difference in our lives.
